Here are a couple of charts to help compare the US dollar and wheat. Can you make an arguement that we have seen the low in the US dollar and the high in many of the grains like wheat? I remember the saying trade on the wheat and sleep on the street; so I don't venture to guess; as we could be in just a head fake to get the weak longs/shorts out of the market. But I would guess that the highs of the grains and commodities in general end up happening within a month or two if not at the same time as when the US dollar puts it what after the fact is found out to be lows.

The MWC Marketing Hour Round Table is something new that we just started this past week; it is weekly at 3:30; either Wed or Thursday. It is new and a little work in process. Here was the agenda from last week.

We invite you to all attend next week and the coming week's sessions; our intent is to one day turn this meetings into some sort of marketing club for our local producers.
A rather crazy week as some of the charts and info below indicates. With the snow blowing here this afternoon I have to wonder if the volatility we have seen is simply just a beginning.

End of Week Charts for Corn, Wheat, Crude Oil, Beans - Technical buy/sell levels
Markets ended the week with some strength; the markets movement this week reminds me of trading spring wheat in 2008; fun at times; but sickening at times . It might not be quiet as extreme but it feels like it has many more unanswered questions then it did back then. Questions like when will demand curve, will we run out of corn, and will we some how get enough supply to meet what appears to be very strong demand. I guess only time will tell.

Charts 2-3-11
Here are some charts for 2-3-2011; there are charts for corn, soybeans, MPLS Wheat, KC Wheat, CBOT Wheat, Crude Oil and the US Dollar.
NOTES-
• MANY ARE SHOWING SOME SIGNS OF MOMENTUM DIVERGENCE

As for outlook on prices there are a couple things that I don't care for to see; CBOT Wheat failure to close above Aug 5th high; corn failure to close decisively above key reversal high from a couple weeks ago
DOLLAR BOUNCED OFF OF SOLID SUPPORT A FEW CHARTS HAVE SHOWED SOME STRUGGLES TO HOLD SOME BROKEN RESISTANCE AREAS WITH A FEW LEAVING DOJI LIKE CANDLES RECENTLY NEARLY ALL CHARTS SHOW OVER BOUGHT SITUATIONS ALL THE GRAINS SHOW STRONG UP TRENDS MANY CHARTS SUCH AS MPLS WHEAT AND CORN DON’T HAVE MUCH STANDING IN THE WAY ON THE UPSIDE UNTIL WE HIT RETRACEMENTS OR THE 2008 HIGHS
