Below are some various charts/graphs showing strategy comparisons for various corn marketing strategies. All of these are done basis time of when the option expires and as a producer off setting the trade with a cash sale assuming a zero basis.
My conclusion is that there isn't one that is that much better then the other; but having a wide variety probably is the best risk management option.
